Privacy Policy

This policy describes what CA Life Exam Prep collects, why, and what you can do about it. It reflects how the service actually works today. It is a factual description, not legal advice.

What we collect

Your email address, so you can sign in. We never ask for or store a password — sign-in is a one-time link sent to your inbox.

Your study activity: which questions you answered, what you chose, whether it was correct, how long you took, and your mock exam attempts and scores. This is what produces your readiness estimate, your per-section mastery and your wrong-answer notebook. Without it the product has nothing to show you.

Optional details you choose to give us: your preferred language, your target exam date, and whether you agreed to be contacted about related services.

A short fingerprint of your sign-in session, used only to enforce one active device per account. We never store your session token itself, so a database leak cannot be replayed as a session.

What we do not collect

We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking of any kind. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recorder. Nothing on this site follows you to another site.

We never see or store your card details. Payments go directly to Stripe.

Who else processes your data

Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication. Resend delivers the sign-in emails. Stripe processes payments and holds the card details we never see. Vercel hosts and serves the site. Each of these sees only what it needs to do its job.

Selling or sharing

We do not sell your personal information. If you opted in to be contacted about related insurance services, that is the one case where your information could be shared, and it is off unless you switch it on. You can withdraw it at any time, and the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" page always overrides it.

Your rights in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to delete it, and opt out of any sale or sharing. Exercising these rights never costs you service or a worse price. Use the "Do Not Sell or Share" link in the footer, or email us; both routes work, and the email route needs no account.

How long we keep it

Your study history stays while your account exists, because it is what your readiness estimate is computed from. Ask us to delete your account and it goes with it. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting reasons are kept for as long as the law requires and no longer.

Children

This service is for adults pursuing a California insurance licence. It is not directed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and we will say what changed.
